Williams Sonoma Launches New Collection With Aerin Lauder

Williams-Sonoma Launches New Collection With Aerin

* Breezy, spring collection in stores now
* Multi-functional pieces inspired by “island retreats”
* 120-piece collection includes dinnerware, bedding, lamps and decor

Williams Sonoma has launched a new collaboration with luxury lifestyle brand, AERIN. The home décor collection features more than 120 products created with brand namesake, Aerin Lauder. Lauder, who is also the granddaughter of beauty icon Estée Lauder, personally curated and helped design the pieces, which includes dinnerware, bedding, ceramics, lamps and outdoor decor.

Themed after an “island retreat,” The Aerin by Williams Sonoma collection is inspired by Lauder’s memories of traveling to Palm Beach, with the soft pastels and textures of the sand mirrored by the calmness and beauty of the sea.

Lauder tells Vogue that the blue and white motif is a color combination that runs through not only her AERIN brand, but also part of her “personal heritage and decorating DNA,” owing to her grandmother’s love of the two shades. “It’s a palette that I knew from the beginning that I wanted to incorporate into the collection,” she says, pointing out how WilliamsSonoma “incorporated different tones of blue to create a casual, yet luxurious feel.”

The collection is breezy, bright and fresh, as at-home for weekend brunch as it is for serving up your fanciest dishes at a dinner party. The decor pieces (think outdoor pillows, sculptures and throws) work with a variety of aesthetics, whether you’re furnishing a beach house in Nantucket or sprucing up a guest room. The pieces make for great summer wedding and shower gifts too.

Lauder says the collaboration made sense, as both Williams Sonoma and AERIN celebrate quality, craftsmanship and a passion for design and entertaining. The Aerin by Williams Sonoma collection launches just in time for spring and is in stores now.
