* Holiday special offers a free Roku Streaming Stick when you pay for first month
* No credit check or annual contract required to get the deal

Whether you’re shopping for your kids in college, your parents, your neighbors, or for yourself, you’ll definitely make their day (or month) with a DIRECTV NOW gift subscription. Imagine everyone else opening up a sweater or book, and the look of surprise your recipient will have when they open up a box… with nothing in it… except a note saying they’re getting one of the best television services in the country.

DIRECTV NOW is sweetening the pot right now with a deal that gets you a Roku Streaming Stick for free (regularly $49.99). The deal usually requires two months of pre-payment, but for a limited time through the holidays, you only have to pay for one month of service to get a free Roku.

Free Roku Streaming Stick Offer

Here’s how to find the package that’s right for you – and your price point:

1. A Lot For A Little

$35 a month gets you 60+ channels, including all the major networks plus favorites like E!, ESPN, Fox Sports USA, TNT, Lifetime and the Food Network.

2. Just Right

$50 a month gets you 80+ channels. This mid-range package adds the MLB Network, Tennis Channel and ESPN U for sports fans, plus watch shows like Queen Sugar and Schitt’s Creek on OWN and POP and get award-winning content on IFC and the Sundance Channel.

3. Go Big

For $60 a month, upgrade your deal to 100+ channels. This is the best deal for sports fans, as it adds CBS Sports, FS2, Golf Channel, NBA TV, NHL Network and the Olympic Channel (just in time for this February’s Winter Olympic Games).

4. Gotta Have It

The highest-tier package on DIRECTV is $70 a month, and includes 120+ channels. It’s still a great deal, though the only additional channels you’re getting are the Chiller Network, and a Starz package which includes 8 genre-focused channels, like “Starz Encore Action,” “Starz Encore Western,” “Starz Encore Suspense” and “Starz Encore Family.” If you want to save yourself an extra 10 bucks a month, we’d recommend sticking to package #3.

Worth noting: HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and the regular Starz channel are not included in these package, but you can add one or grab them all from just $5 a month.

DIRECTV NOW also has thousands of on-demand titles that you can stream anytime. So basically, there will always be something worth watching, even if live TV is showing re-runs.

And here’s why DIRECTV NOW makes the most sense: they don’t require any credit check or annual contract to sign up, and you can cancel at any time. Each account can stream on up to two devices simultaneously, so you can watch two programs at once on separate TVs, or stream from your phone, laptop or tablet.

Free Roku Streaming Stick Offer

Ditch the generic gift cards this year. If you’re really looking to impress with a last minute gift they’ll love, consider getting them a DIRECTV NOW subscription. Whether you give them the free Roku or keep it for yourself, is entirely up to you.
