Chloé & Net-a-porter Celebrate New Capsule Collection With NYC Party

Chloé & Net-a-porter Celebrate New Capsule

* Chloé x Net-a-porter debut 6th collaboration collection
* A kick off party in NYC was held to celebrate
* Guest attendees included Olivia Palermo and Hilary Rhoda

Luxury e-retailer Net-a-Porter celebrated their collaboration capsule collection with French label Chloé last night with an intimate party in New York City’s Greenwich Village neighborhood. The 26-piece capsule collection was inspired by 70s in Ibiza, just in time for vacation season. Now available on Net-a-Porter’s website, the collection features a curated array of dresses, ponchos and blouses, all imbued with Chloe’s signature dreamy aesthetic and summer-appropriate silhouettes.

Some of fashion’s elite attended the event including it-girl Olivia Palermo and model Hilary Rhoda, who mingled on the back patio and gushed about the collection. Palermo told WWD that the collection is “very Greek inspired.” Net-a-Porter’s president Allison Loehnis, revealed the collection also re-addressed who the Chloe woman is. “We thought, well actually where is this Chloé woman? She spends her summers in Ibiza and it really evokes the both feminine but also bohemian roots of the brand,” she said.

This capsule collection marks the sixth time Net-a-Porter and Chloé have teamed up. An additional collaboration with Chloé seemed natural for the retailer because of their history working together. Not only is Chloé a best-selling brand for the website, but Chloe and Net-a-porter also have a “close relationship.”

“They were one of the earliest supporters of Net-a-Porter,” Loehnis said. “Around three to four years ago, we started talking about what could we do, because the business was great and our customers always respond really well to the Chloé collections. ‘What can we do to offer the customer something special that she couldn’t find anywhere else?’ And so we kicked off a program of capsule collections.”

Chloé is currently in the midst of a transitional period of creative and brand direction. The house’s new creative director Natacha Ramsay-Levi will debut for her first collection for the Spring/Summer 2019 season this September. Despite this, Loehnis expects their relationship to continue to grow with more collaborative efforts in the future.
