October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which is an annual campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer risks, the value of screening and early detection and treatment options available to women and men who are diagnosed with one of the many forms of the disease.
Throughout the month, designers will unveil special-edition products to raise money for foundations by donating a portion of their proceeds to breast cancer charities. We found some great products that were specially made for this cause that will not only make you feel good about your purchase, but help someone in need as well.
1. Beauty Mirror
Ulta Beauty is your one-stop shop for everything hair, skin and beauty related. For the month of October, they are offering a variety of cute and affordable products, that when purchased, will see fifty percent of the proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. 2. Survivor Tee
Forever 21 is offering a knit tee featuring a front logo stating “Survivor, Hope, Strength, Faith.” This fitted tee has a round neckline, short sleeves and a soft cotton/polyester blend. One dollar from the purchase of every item sold in this collection will be donated to The Keep A Breast Foundation.
3. Zebra Ballpoint Pen
As a sponser of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Zebra Pen wants to do its part to help raise awareness. Each year, Zebra Pen makes a charitable contribution to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in support of their efforts. In addition, they offer an entire line of pens dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer themed with pink accents. Help show your support by purchasing these high quality and affordable retractable pens. Zebra says it will donate $25,000 this year for breast cancer research, awareness and education.
4. Nail Polish
Manicurist to the stars, Deborah Lippmann, has collaborated with Shape Magazine to help fight breast cancer with the creation of this baby pink shade. Deborah Lippmann will donate 10% of sales of the “Shape of My Heart” nail polish to Hoag Memorial Hosptial in Newport Beach, CA.
Bumble and Bumble offer up their popular Pret-a-Powder with a limited edition pink cap. Equal parts dry shampoo, style extender and volumizing powder, this powerful styling product wil help extend the life of your blow dry. $5 from every sale of this limited edition version wil be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
6. Knockout Eyes
Estee Lauder has created this most colorful way to support breast cancer research with their deluxe collection of eye essentials. Included in this limited-edition set are 8 shadows, mascara, black eyeliner, eyeshadow brush and a colorful cosmetic bag to hold everything. For each purchase of this product, Estee Lauder will donate 100% of the suggested retail price to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This campaign will mark Estee Lauder’s 25th anniversary in helping to defeat breast cancer.
7. Water Bottle

9. Athletic Bra
Athleta wants to help raise breast cancer awareness with this special edition “Pink Power of She” bra. This bra was a huge shopper request, with fans asking the brand to create a pink bra to wear to breast cancer awareness walks and events. Athleta has partnered with Recovery on Water (ROW), a Chicago-based rowing club for breast cancer survivors which the brand is making a donation to this month. 12% of proceeds from this bra will be donated to ROW.
10. Running Shoe
New Balance has a “Lace Up for the Cure” collection of specially-created Running Shoes where they will contribute 5% of the MSRP of each product sold to the Susan G. Komen Foundation with a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000 per year. Their popular 490 Running Shoes have been re-imagined in pink for this cause.
