Ask anyone and they’ll likely tell you that jeans are quite possibly the toughest single piece of clothing to shop for. But if you’re looking for a simple pair of jeans that don’t veer off into either end of the sartorial spectrum or care what’s currently trending in denim, you might want to consider Levi’s 505 Made in the USA Regular Fit Jeans.

Since the company was founded in the late 1800s, Levi Strauss and his namesake company have long been synonymous with jeans. Though the company had been in operation since 1853, it actually wasn’t until the 1960s and 70s when the “blue jeans craze” picked up steam and cemented the brand as a pop culture fixture. Like Coca-Cola, Levi’s has become the type of good that anyone has access to, from celebrities to farm hands.

While a good number of Levi’s jeans are made outside the U.S., the San Francisco-based brand’s Made in the USA Collection includes the 505 Regular Fit Jean, which, if you’re a historical denim jeans buff, would know was the original zip fly jeans. Not only are these made from North Carolina’s Cone Mills White Oak denim but they’re also constructed entirely in Texas.

What’s more, these 505s have an 11” front rise, 16.5” leg opening, and generally work for all body types. Levi’s says it’s one of the most popular straight fit styles in its lineup.
