Just in time for Pride Month, Miley Cyrus has teamed up with Converse on a new series of shoes for the 2017 Converse Pride Collection.
The collection features 22 rainbow-hued interpretations on Converse’s iconic Chuck Taylor’s All-Star model, with the design theme and motto being “YES TO ALL,” signifying both Cyrus and the brand’s support for LGBTQ+ youth.
All net proceeds from the 2017 Converse Pride Collection will go to the It Gets Better Project and The Happy Hippie Foundation — a nonprofit founded by Cyrus to support homeless LGBTQ+ youth.
The unisex collection includes version of the sneakers for infants/toddlers ($35) to adult sizes ($85-$110). Many of the models can also be customized via the Converse website, allowing you to edit everything from the laces and stitching, to adding your own text on the shoe.
Converse is joining a number of other brands who are releasing collections to celebrate Pride. According to the Converse website, “Whatever your gender, orientation, identity, Converse believes everyone is free to be whoever they are.”
The singer posted three photos of herself wearing the rainbow sneakers, adding, “I love the #Pride collection supporting the LGBTQ community! Thank u for joining the @happyhippiefdn family and helping us continue our fight for equality & justice! #YesToAll!”
The 2017 Converse Pride Collection is a limited-edition release and expected to sell out quickly — especially with Cyrus’ participation. In addition to shoes, the collection also includes a series of specially-designed T-shirts and tanks.
