* Missoni teams up for limited-edition collaboration with Converse
* The Chuck Taylor II sneaker is an updated more comfortable sequel to the original
* Knit construction gives durable comfort
If there were any two opposites that didn’t quite attract, a Converse x Missoni collaboration might be near the top of the list. However, the All-American shoe brand has in fact collaborated with the Italian fashion house, and well, the results are surprising.
The Converse x Missoni All Star Chuck II Low Top features Missoni’s signature colorful zigzag knit construction that adds a touch of class and European-infused style to the classic sneaker. In a red/auburn/black color scheme, the shoe offers a contemporary, yet feminine look that showcases the spirit and artistry of high fashion.
Another enhancement in this collection comes with the revamped All Star Chuck II. This latest rendition is the sequel to the classic All Star sneaker. It has the same silhouette you know and love but has been given the addition of Nike Lunarlon cushioning. Lunarlon features a soft, resilient foam core encased within a supportive foam carrier for lightweight, ultra-plush cushioning.
In addition to the authentic Missoni knit, the shoe comes fitted with a high varnish on foxing tape, patent leather tongue logo and is, of course, made in Italy. This collection combines Converse’s timeless silhouettes with Missoni’s colorful motifs, stripes, patchworks and floral patterns, producing beautiful, high-fashion, yet affordable sneakers.
