The original M16 agent 007 was played by the brawny Sean Connery. In Thunderball, the hunk ditches his signature suit-and-tie ensemble for some short swim trunks while on a yacht.
In the third Bond film Goldfinger (1964), Shirley Eaton as stars as the villain’s aid, who gets punished for betrayal with gold paint and eventual suffocation. The iconic image of the actress painted gold even made it on the cover of Life magazine in 1964.
If you prefer to dress up with a more modest version of Bond in the Thunderball installment, wear the outfit from the film’s cover art. All you need are some swim fins, a red fitness pull over, and some white shorts.
Anthony Dawson stars as Bond’s archenemy and supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in 1967’s You Only Live Twice. Sometimes, it’s more fun to play the evil character, and this one allows you to carry around a stuffed animal as a prop all night.
In the film that began the Bond saga, Ursula Andress starred as Honey Ryder—the original bond girl— in 1962’s Dr.No. If you’re not comfortable stepping out for the evening wearing nothing but a white bikini, opt for a two piece jumpsuit with a similar tie fastening to Ryder’s iconic bikini.
