While the Brinno BCC200 is a time lapse camera totally optimized for construction and project photography, its durable construction, built-in mount and high image quality make it work well for any applications where a set-it-and-forget-it approach is key to successful time lapse photography. Designed to offer compression of up to a month per minute, this time lapse camera also records 720p video in an extreme variety of lighting conditions.
It packs enough dynamic range to shoot in backlit, reflective broad daylight and also pick up a reasonable amount of detail in the dark of night as well. A bright interchangeable lens with an f/2.0 maximum aperture helps get clear footage in low light conditions.
The Brinno BCC200 takes SD cards and can also playback via a micro USB cable. AVI file output saves time on post-processing and a small but clear and very bright preview screen lets you input menu commands and view or select clips.
The camera comes with an industrial-grade aeronautical aluminum alloy clamp and a set of bungee cord tie-downs to secure it to vertical surfaces or mount it to poles or railings. The mounting system is easy to use and the camera can be secured without any special tools. Battery-operated, the device provides and outstanding 2.5 months (80 days) of battery life, using a time interval of 30 minutes.
A virtual necessity for the construction and architecture markets, the BCC200 comes with a dustproof and weather-resistant housing, which allows you to set the time-lapse camera and return only when you’re ready to view the footage, not having to worry about rain or construction dust. This feature makes it work for seasonal and nature photography as well.
