* 9.7-inch iPad replaces the iPad Air 2
* (PRODUCT)RED iPhone raises money to fight HIV/AIDS
* “Clips” is the new video app, plus upgraded storage options and more
New iPads and iPhones weren’t the only products dropping today from Apple. The tech giant also released a new video editing app, increased SE storage, unveiled Apple Watch bands and iPhone cases. Here are the details on every new product released today from Apple.
New iPad Replaces iPad Air 2
Starting at only $329.00, the latest iPad will replace the iPad Air 2. Measuring 9.7-inches, it features a 64-bit A9 processor. Buyers can choose between 32 and 128GB storage configurations. Prices for the WiFi + Cellular models are $459 for the 32GB memory and $559 for the 128GB memory. Pre-orders start on March 24.
The red color is more than just a style statement. For every red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus purchased, Apple will make a donation to the Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS programs and create an AIDS-free generation. Apple launched its first collaboration with the (RED) campaign to fight AIDS in 2006 with a red iPod nano. Since then, the company has raised more than $130 million for the organization.
Edit Video on the Fly With Clips App
Apple’s newest content app lets iPhone and iPad users quickly create short videos and add fun effects, like photo filters, overlayed emoji and speech bubbles, and animated captions. Entitled “Clips,” the new app lets users create multi-clip videos on iPhone or iPad without timelines, tracks or complicated editing tools.
iPhone SE Gets More Storage
With the 16GB configuration phased out, the iPhone SE is now available in 64GB and 128GB configurations. Prices continue to begin at $399. Sales start on March 24.
