* Met Gala’s first ever 360 degree livestream
* Visit Vogue’s Facebook page Monday evening
* Get more live coverage on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat
You’ll be able to watch Anna Wintour greet A-list movers and shakers on the Met Gala red carpet this year. Adweek reports that Facebook will livestream the event in 360 degrees. The collaboration between the Met Gala and Facebook Creative Shop is sponsored by Moët & Chandon champagne. It will be the gala’s first 360 degree livestream ever.
What that means, is an up close and personal view of the action, with multiple camera angles that you can control through Facebook. You can also get live coverage from the magazine via Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat.
“The Met Gala is one of the biggest nights in fashion and the interest it garners is phenomenal—audiences are determined to be part of the action,” Vogue digital director Anna-Lisa Yabsley tells Adweek. “Our partnership with Facebook and Moët offers our audience direct, front row access to experience all the action of the red carpet. This will be the only official way to watch the red carpet live, and we’re thrilled to share this experience with the world.”
To watch the livestream, go to Vogue’s Facebook page from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m EST on Monday evening.
The theme for this year’s Met Gala is “Art of the In Between” and features Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, and her brand Comme des Garçons. Vogue says their 360 livestream is the perfect way to reflect the theme, capturing all the “in between” moments at the event.
