* Shipping times for current MacBook Pro orders pushed back
* Analysts believe Apple prepping to ship new models
* Announcements expected at Apple’s annual developer conference next week

If you’re in the market for a new MacBook, you may want to wait a week. Rumors are running rampant that Apple is set to unveil a new update to their popular laptop, as early as June 5th.

Apple’s annual developer conference, WWDC, begins next week, running from June 5 through to June 9. And, in a potentially related development, Apple has pushed back shipping times for current 15-inch MacBook Pro orders until after the conference start date.

Many analysts take that as a sign that Apple is planning to announce a new update to the MacBook Pro. According to MacRumors.com, the notebooks are expected to receive internal improvements only, including an upgrade to Intel’s faster Kaby Lake processors. The sizing and external specs would remain the same.

The new update, however, could lead to longer battery life and better integrated graphics performance. Engadget says you could also see the MacBook Pro support up to 32GB of RAM, a big jump from the current 16GB limit.

Keep in mind that the current MacBook Pro model was just released less than a year ago, so any changes unveiled next week won’t be as big as a brand new look or completely new product. Rather, Apple could just be updating its signature laptop to keep up with technology.

Also worth noting: if you’re looking for a 13-inch MacBook Pro, those are still currently available for same-day shipping. It’s not clear whether that’s due to a larger supply or a lack of planned updates.
