Baby showers are one of those rites of passage most pregnant women will experience and/or attend at least once in their lives. If you are lucky enough to be a planner of one of these gatherings, then you know they can sometimes be overwhelming, to say the least.
In our never-ending quest to bring you the latest and most helpful essentials, we have rounded up some baby shower planning games and decor items that will help make planning or attending one a walk in the park.
1. Multicolored Hello Baby Printed Dinner Plates
Our first baby shower essential is these “Hello Baby” printed plates. Perfect for the neutral shower where gender is yet to be revealed, these plates offer a colorful way to celebrate the special newborn. Perfectly sized for bigger meals and made of sturdy paperboard, this collection can be mixed and matched with all sorts of different patterns and colors (see below).
2. Printed Lunch Napkins
These turquoise blue napkins are the ideal match to the plates above and perfect for serving guests at a shower. The 3-ply napkin has a blue and white striped pattern on one side and bold polka dot design on the other. Mix and match these napkins with other vibrantly colored tableware items. The best part: if you’ve got leftover napkins after the shower, these work well for a fancy dinner or brunch gathering, too.
3. Pin The Pacifier Baby Shower Game
Whether you love ’em or hate ’em, baby shower games are an important addition/tradition at any baby shower. The “Pin the Pacifier” set is a classic, easy game where the guest wears an eye mask and tries to place the pacifier in the baby’s mouth. Included is a large poster, one adjustable mask and 12 pacifiers.
4. Baby Shower Scratch Ticket Game
Our next baby shower game is this set of baby-themed Scratch-n-win Tickets. Simply ask your guests to scratch off the silver square to reveal the winning ticket. Each 24 card deck comes with one winner to reveal a picture of milk in the baby’s bottle. The non-winning cards reveal pictures of various baby items that do not belong in a bottle.
5. My Water Broke Baby Shower Game
Our last game pick is the “My Water Broke” Baby Shower Game. At the shower, each person receives an ice cube with a plastic baby frozen inside. Each person then has to “watch” their baby and the first one to notice their baby has broken out of their ice cube must yell “My Water Broke!” Included with the game are the baby pieces and instructions. This game will have your guests laughing for the duration of the party. Whether you put these baby ice cubes in your drink is entirely up to you.
6. Pink & Gold Balloon Scratch-off Greeting Cards
These unique, innovative and fun greeting cards make the perfect thank-you cards for after the party and will ensure your guests remember the event. The Pink & Gold Balloon Scratch-Off Cards by Inklings Paperie allow you to simply write your message in the blank area and cover it with the scratch-off sticker provided. Scratching gently will reveal your message. These cards are made of 100% recycled envelopes, printed on sustainably-produced paper and utilize soy-based inks.
7. It’s a Boy/Girl Milk Jar Party Favors
Our next baby shower essential is a party favor. The Kate Aspen It’s a Girl or Boy Milk Jar is a cute, clear, old-fashioned mini-glass container with a real cork top and large, easy-access opening. The jar makes the perfect accompaniment and party favor for your guests. Up the ante and fill the jar with your favorite candy or bath salt for that personal touch.
8. Pink, Blue & White Gender Reveal Candy Kit
Lastly, we have some simple yet essential candy party décor. Available in Pink, Blue and White, whether you know the sex of the baby or not, these brightly colored candy accoutrements will add a dash of color and fun to any baby shower and provide yet another delicious goodie “bag” for guests to take home.
