According to our Internet sleuthing, the term “veg out” seems to have originated from Pretty Woman, when Julia Roberts’ character declares that she wants to “watch old movies all night… [and] just veg out in front of the TV.”
This weekend, choose to veg out by taking it easy like Julia, or by adding the veg to vegetables by learning some new, vegetarian-friendly recipes. We’ve picked a couple options for movie watching and fast fitness, too.

Luckily there’s an easy, inexpensive alternative: at-home workouts. There are dozens of simple devices you can keep in your closet and pull out in the morning or after getting home, for a quick, effective workout. We’ve uncovered 10 inexpensive devices to help build a great at-home gym.
