* Bohemian-inspired pullover shirt
* Made from soft 100% cotton jersey
* Intentionally boxy, oversized silhouette
Japanese clothier White Mountaineering’s spring/summer 2017 “Ocean Color” collection is hitting boutiques worldwide and the men’s Original Taped V Neck Pullover is sure to be a hit once spring and summer finally arrive.
Yosuke Aizawa, the creative director behind the 11-year-old Japanese brand, says he was inspired by a “marine adventure novel,” while also influenced by traditional garments and military clothing. The employment of ornate, embroidered detailing on the hems adds further traditional influence.
Reminiscent of trends last seen in the late 60s and early 70s, the Bohemian-style pullover is given more heft with the bold pattern print outlining its dark navy coloring. Made from a 100% cotton jersey, it’s perfect for days spent at the beach, or at the pool, paired with shorts. Or, wear it with cropped and tapered pants around town.
Intentionally oversized, the shirt features a split hem and lightweight construction for ease of movement. You’ll want to stick with your normal size if you like things to be more relaxed, but if you’re seeking a more regular or trim fit, go a size down.
Made in Japan, this pullover is a stylish departure from the basic tee, and it’s all about attitude and confidence when you wear it. Take it on vacation or to dinner on the patio. The shirt may be traditionally-inspired but there will be nothing traditional about your look.
