* Hudson Jeans taps Kaia Gerber and Gabriel Day-Lewis for their Fall 2017 campaign
* Shot by famed photographer, Patrick Demarchelier
* New collection juxtaposes skinny silhouettes with boxy tops
LA-based denim label Hudson Jeans is looking to Young Hollywood for its latest campaign. The premium jeans-maker unveiled its Fall 2017 images this week, featuring models Kaia Gerber and Gabriel Kane Day-Lewis. If their names (or looks) seem familiar, just consider their famous pedigree: Gerber is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman (and Casamigos Tequila co-owner) Rande Gerber; Day-Lewis, meantime, is the son of Oscar-winning actor, Daniel Day-Lewis.
Shot by legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the ads are rendered in moody black and white, and show off some of the models’ favorite looks from the new collection, which mix slim and streamlined jeans with slightly boxier jackets and tops. The pieces are meant to transition easily from casual looks to Hollywood night out, with a focus on black denim and muted earth tones (think shades of olive, gray and eggplant).
The women’s collection (above) is tomboy chic — seemingly the new standard uniform for Hollywood offspring. The men’s collection (below) features classic blue denim jeans and denim jackets, re-worked with distressed details for a lived-in look. The pants are skinny, but not skin-tight, while the jackets are constructed with stretch Japanese denim for a relaxed yet trim fit. Pair the looks with a slick pair of sneakers to keep things light and neutral.
This isn’t the first time Hudson Jeans used celebrity kids in their campaigns. The brand previously tapped famous offspring Georgia May-Jagger (daughter of Mick Jagger) and Dylan Penn (daughter of Sean Penn and Robin Wright) in its ads.
