“Sustainable” and “ethically sourced” are two buzz words of the moment when it comes to fashion. And why not? What is wrong with helping to make the earth a more pleasant place to live and breathe? Naghedi handbags are one of the latest and most unique creations to follow this fashion mantra. The line features accessible, casual handbags crafted in fine-knit strands of durable neoprene.

One bag, in particular, is the St. Barth’s Small Tote. Not only does the name evoke vacation for us, the bag itself is lust worthy. This unique creation is rendered in a colorful, basket-weave neoprene design, with an unlined interior. Included with the bag is an optional and removable zip pouch and the base of the bag is covered in leather. Rolled handles complete the look.

Neoprene is the synthetic rubber that wetsuits are made from, making it the perfect, durable material that is just right for adventuring by sand and sea. The bags are waterproof, wrinkle, mildew and abrasion-resistant and will last through every season.

Naghedi handbags are the creation of New York-based designer Sara Naghedi, who has a decade-plus career in fashion. Her passion for animals and the environment led her to create her first line, Deux Lux, a sustainable and ethically sourced handbag and accessories line. She then identified the need for a sustainable luxury line for women on the go that is stylish, lightweight and multifunctional and created the Naghedi bag line.
