This latest-generation Escort Radar Detector benefits from a whole raft of recent improvements and new developments in wireless technology. Bluetooth compatibility lets the radar detector interface with the Escort app, giving drivers real-time access to local speed limit information and a continually-updated software set up.

The Escort’s compact size and ease of mounting remain, as do the simple, intuitive user interface on the unit itself. This model includes multiple laser diodes and a video receiver, as well as a built-in GPS receiver which also updates the Escort smartphone app.

The radar detector operates in the X-band, K and Ka-bands and in the 904nm laser band. It includes a wide array of user-determined features, including GPS on/off, selectable band sensitivity, different metering modes, display colors and cruise speed alerts.

It offers multiple stop sensitivity control as well, letting drivers choose among Highway, Auto, Auto No X and Auto Lo K. Its display is also highly customizable and includes a full dark mode for when you don’t want to be distracted by any extra lights or indicators.

The Escort iX comes in a tidy package with a travel case, EZ mag mount and smart cord USB power supply that plugs into your car’s 12V outlet. Thanks to refined technologies like digital signal processing and a more sophisticated scanning frequency discriminator, the Escort iX is way ahead of its predecessors in terms of usefulness and functionality. One of the first radar detectors to actively filter out interference from in-vehicle collision avoidance systems and active cruise control, it also stays up to date even more easily thanks to the Escort app and its web-based features.
