* Here’s six affordable alternatives to the Lacoste polo
* From brands including Fred Perry, Ralph Lauren, and Nike

Lacoste is making a big comeback as the go-to polo shirt. Of course, Lacoste hasn’t really gone out of style since they started making crocodile embroidered tennis shirts back in 1933, but recently they’ve upped their game with modernized styles. One of their best new shirts is the iconic Paris polo style, which upgrades the classic shirt with a new hidden-button placket, softer fabric, and modern color options. Check out the classic polo shirt in link below.

Although we’d all love a Lacoste polo (or three) in our closet, at almost $100, they’re not cheap. Luckily, we found some affordable alternatives to the Lacoste polo that provide the same classic look for less money.

1. H&M Cotton Piqué Shirt

H&M is known for on-trend clothing, but as this polo proves, they know how to do classics too. The shirt comes in a vintage-inspired light green or navy blue, and has a pretty unbeatable price tag at just $30.

2. Original Penguin Earl Polo

Original Penguin’s Earl Polo comes in a huge assortment of colors, and has a very reasonable price tag. The shirt features a slim fit, and contrast stitching on the collar, placket, and sleeves, giving it a stand-out style.

3. Nordstrom Piqué Polo

If you’re looking for a versatile, no-frills polo that you can wear year-round, go for this Nordstrom Pique Polo Shirt. It features a piqué-knit cotton that’s both breathable and sharp-looking, ensuring that you stay fresh on the golf course, at the beach, or in the office.

4. Fred Perry Twin Tipped Shirt

Another time-tested polo shirt that we highly recommend is the Twin Tipped Fred Perry Polo Shirt. The shirt’s signature contrast stitching on the collar and sleeves has been a low-key statement for decades, and remains iconic in 2018.

5. Nike Dri-FIT Piqué Polo

For a more sporty polo look with sweat-wicking technology, check out this Nike Dri-Fit Polo. It’s made using Nike’s famously comfortable Dri-Fit material, and comes in a modern grey color that pairs well with sporty clothing as well as more dressy attire.

6. Polo Ralph Lauren Henley T-Shirt

The henley T-shirt is the polo shirt’s younger cousin. It keeps the quarter button-up, but sheds the collar for a slightly more casual look. We like this one from Ralph Lauren because it has a modern fit, high quality fabric, and the iconic Polo pony on the chest.
