We’ve got some good news for those who were loathe to adapt to Apple wireless ear pods. Motorola’s new smartphone, the Moto Z2 Force, reportedly has a 3.5mm port so that you can enjoy the wired life again.
The feature comes at a time when Apple and HTC have eliminated headphone jacks altogether. Just last year, Motorola had dropped jacks from its original Moto Z Force — actually making that move before Apple’s iPhone 7 was released.
While much of the new Moto Z2 Force will remain the same as previous models, such as its size, camera hump and Pogo pins, there are a few key updates that users should like.
For starters, the photo will have a dual LED flash for the selfie camera, as well as a fingerprint scanner. Other new features will include a slimmer design that measures 6mm and a Lenovo logo towards the lower right edge. A thin antenna band that goes around the entire device helps to improve network connectivity. The Z2 is also expected to operate on a faster and leaner scale, thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. There’s still no word on the battery capacity.
There are also rumors that Motorola will introduce a Moto C as a less expensive alternative to compete in developing markets. Both the Moto Z2 Force and Moto C are expected to be available from Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint.
