Amazon made waves last month when they revealed their anticipated new line of smart devices. From updated versions of already loved gadgets to all-new devices, there’s something for everyone.

If you’re looking to automate your home, you might want to take a look at our three new favorite Amazon products. (Psst: Before you read our picks, take a minute to also brush up on all the Echo devices and how they work.)

1. Amazon Echo (Second Generation)

The Echo is back, and now it’s better than ever. Featuring updated voice-activated technology and an even better speaker system (not that it already wasn’t great to begin with), this new Echo is ready to usher in the modern age of voice-activated technology. At roughly ⅔ the height of the previous version, the new Echo speaker offers a more compact and portable way to take advantage of Alexa. And with six beautiful new colors to choose from, you can mix and match.

2. Echo Plus (With a Built-In Smart Hub)

While the Echo Plus may look like your everyday Echo, this version doubles as a smart home hub, meaning it’s able to automatically search for smart devices in your home and connect them to your Alexa network. Smart lights, smart thermostat, smart TVs and more are all covered without any work on your part. If you’re constantly adding new devices to your home, the Echo Plus is a must.

3. All-New Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD and Alexa Voice Remote

While the original Fire TV offered 4K, the new version is able to play it at an extra impressive 60 frames per second, making those already exuberant images even better. More than that, the new Fire TV also comes with HDR (high dynamic range) to help those sounds and colors really come to life. Simply plug the new Fire into your TV’s HDMI port, connect to Amazon and instantly enjoy a much better way to stream.

4. Echo Spot

With a 2.5-inch color display, Alexa voice-activated technology and the ability to sync to other devices in your home, the new Echo Spot is gearing up to be one of the most anticipated new Amazon releases ever. “It works as an alarm clock, but it does a lot more,” says Amazon exec Dave Limp. With the ability to make live video calls, check the weather, listen to your favorite tunes and more, the Spot might just be your bedside table’s new best friend.
