Liam’s List: The 5 Best Liam Neeson Movies for Fans of “The Commuter”

* The Commuter in theaters now
* Liam Neeson wasn’t always an action star
* Check out these five classics from Neeson’s filmography

Liam Neeson isn’t an action star per se but after the success of Taken in 2008, it seems like every movie he’s been in since has either been a sequel to Taken or something very similar. Case in point: The Commuter.

So Neeson isn’t rescuing his daughter or ex-wife in The Commuter but it’s sort of the same, isn’t it? The movie is in theaters now – click here for showtimes and tickets.

Regardless, here are five of Neeson’s past gems in case you’ve had enough with action Liam. They’re all available to stream or purchase on Amazon Video now, starting from just $3.99.

1. Schindler’s List

Neeson stars in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 blockbuster hit, Schindler’s List, as Oskar Schindler, a member of the Nazi party who helps 1,200 Jews escape during the Holocaust.

2. Husbands And Wives

While not a lead role for Neeson, his part in Woody Allen’s Husbands and Wives is memorable and so is the movie. It’s actually one of Allen’s better films.

3. Taken

The one that started it all. A classic. If you haven’t seen Taken, you need to watch it before you see The Commuter. Seriously.

4. Batman Begins

Neeson’s play something of a mentor to Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne and that’s really all we’re going to say about this one. You should definitely watch it.

5. Darkman

This cult classic from 1990 was directed by Sam Raimi and stars Neeson and Francis McDormand.
