* Dish lets you easily flip between TV and Netflix
* Other apps include YouTube and Amazon Video
* Only available on new Hopper 3
With so many channels and such vast on-demand options, it’s easy to do nothing but watch Dish all day. As one of the leading satellite service providers in the country, Dish literally lets you watch “Primetime Anytime” from their on-demand menu, plus you can DVR thousands of hours of programming and skip the commercials.
If like me, you constantly crave more, but find it too much of a chore to adjust your television’s input signal, Dish has the answer for you. The new Hopper 3, which comes with all new subscriptions, allows you to flip between regular programming and your favorite apps, like Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Video. It all happens on the Hopper.
This became particularly useful during a lull in TV the other night, and I remembered that Season 11 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia had dropped on Netflix. Needless to say, I was thrilled to catch up with the gang at Paddy’s Pub. I watched the whole season in two mini binges, and I nearly died laughing at McPoyle vs. Ponderosa: The Trial of the Century:
In between episodes, I toggled back to CNN on the Hopper to stay updated on the protests happening across the country, and it was a quick click to get to YouTube to watch videos people posted from inside JFK airport. It’s this simple functionality that makes the Hopper 3 so convenient and so practical. You no longer have to get up and manually switch your input button to switch between programs and apps.
As for It’s Always Sunny, I have my Hopper set up to record every new episode so that I can watch it at home when Season 12 comes out. Or I can take it with me on my handy Hopper Go. Here’s hoping for sunnier days ahead.
