Master of None — Previous Emmy Award winner of Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, Aziz Ansari’s Master of None is back making waves at the Emmy Awards this year in the Comedy Series category. 4. Modern Family — The ABC has received repeated nominations in its respective Comedy categories since the show debuted in 2009. Following the interconnected family dynamics of the Pritchett’s and the Dunphy’s, this hit has previously earned the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series five times in a row from 2009 to 2014. The scariest part of the series is that this totalitarian government doesn’t seem all that impossible. 4. House of Cards — Flagship Netflix show and first-ever streaming series to receive an Emmy nomination, House of Cards is still going strong even after Frank Underwood made it to the White House. House of Cards received four Emmy Award nominations this year. Kevin Spacey earned an Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series nod for his role as Frank Underwood. Both Robin Wright and Michael Kelly received nominations in the Outstanding Supporting Actress and Actor categories respectively for their work on the series.
