With Pride month right around the corner, Converse has released its sixth annual Pride collection of beautiful and thoughtfully created footwear, which includes a variety of sneakers – and for the very first time, a pair of slides. For this season’s release, the brand reached out to five LGBTQIA+ creatives from the community to “work alongside more than 50 LGBTQIA+ Converse teammates and their allies from concept to realization.”

These five new styles feature an array of colorful graphics that promote expressions of self-acceptance and “explore the duality of struggle and joy along the path to self-love.” There were also three graphic T-shirts released with this year’s line.
This year, Converse notes that a portion of the LGBTQIA+ community funding from its partnership with the It Gets Better Project (IGBP) will support the organization’s efforts “to allow all individuals to find joy and freedom in being themselves on TikTok and Twitch during Pride month and beyond.”
Converse’s first Pride collection was dropped in 2015. In the years since it has become one of the most highly-anticipated releases for Pride season. Over the past five seasons, the brand has “donated more than $1.3 million in support of local and global LGBTQIA+ organizations, with contributions supporting safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ youth, education on issues directly impacting the community, and essential resources needed during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
