Post-Pepsi, Kendall Jenner Bounces Back With New Adidas Deal

Following her widely-criticized Pepsi commercial, Kendall Jenner has landed a new deal with Adidas. The model broke the news on her Instagram account, posting a Boomerang of herself driving a golf cart past an Adidas sign that reads, “welcome to the family.” She wore a tracksuit and classic Adidas Gazelles for the post.

The industry consensus is that it’s a natural fit for Jenner, whose sister Kylie dropped a collaboration with Puma last summer. More notably, her brother-in-law, Kanye West, works with Adidas for his Yeezy line.

This makes Jenner the latest celebrity to land an athletic deal. Gigi and Bella Hadid are respectively contracted with Reebok and Nike. Fellow it-girl Karlie Kloss models for Adidas by Stella McCartney, Rihanna has her best-selling Fenty x Puma Collection, and Andre 3000 unveiled his collaboration with Tretorn in New York today.

Footwear News speculates that Jenner dropped a hint leading earlier this month with a Throwback Thursday post of herself as a small child sporting an Adidas tee with the caption “always been an OG.”

There are still no details on what the collaboration will include, as Adidas has yet to release a statement. For its part, the company responded to a Tweet from Jenner with a blue heart.
