Because Knockaround offers various shapes, colors, and sizes of sunglasses, choosing the right pair for me was easy. After searching for a pair of shades that I could wear to the beach — looking through the brand’s classic, aviator, and square-shaped sunglasses — I settled on a sleek pair of their “Glossy Tortoise Shell Amber Fort Knocks.”
Inspired by the United States Bullion Depository in Fort Knox, KY, the injection-molded frames feature recessed gold bar and gold Knockaround logo detailing with hidden spring hinges. The form-fitting sunglasses make for a comfortable and durable fit.
I liked the sheen on the plastic frames, and the gold contrast detailing. The tonal lenses look great with the tortoiseshell too, and they offer UV400 protection — great for the amount of sunlight we get here in Los Angeles. Notice how the temples are a little thicker than regular pairs of sunglasses? Those little details make a big difference.
