With 2016 coming to an end, Creative Director Jonathan Anderson’s first fragrance for Loewe will keep you top of mind in 2017.
After taking over creative duties at Loewe in 2013, Anderson quickly made his mark on the Spanish fashion house by sweeping both the menswear and womenswear “Designer of the Year” honors at the British Fashion Awards in 2015. Now he’s branching out into the fragrance arena, with the launch of Loewe 001.
Described as the vulnerability between two people after their first intimate encounter, Loewe “001 Man” is anchored by cedar and musk. As the scent profile rises, you’ll recognize a bit of sandalwood that’s topped by bergamot, a type of citrus fruit. “001 Woman” combines notes of tangerine and bergamot, with hints of sandalwood, jasmine and vanilla. Combine both fragrances for a unisex third scent.
The bottle, like the fragrance, is uncomplicated, allowing the notes to speak for themselves. For collectors, each bottle of Loewe 001 comes packaged in a beautiful box that features the work of German artist Karl Blossfeldt, best known for his close up photographs of plants.
