L.L.Bean Meets Todd Snyder in the Snoopy Collab You Didn’t Know You Needed to Know About

Well, the duo did it again. L.L.Bean and Todd Snyder have collaborated for the second time within the past year to create something niche yet extraordinary — a line of Peanuts Edition hoodies and crewnecks with a bit of a state-centric twist.

It’s all about Maine.

Yeah, Maine. Maine as in the state. You know, top right.

After partnering together in fall 2020 on a collection that merged styles from L.L.Bean’s Maine-esque work and Snyder’s NYC aesthetic, the duo’s first collection “From Away” line was created. The collection took the idea that one in this world is either a “Maine-Ah”, aka someone from Maine, or “From Away”, which is everyone else in the rest of the world that is not Maine.

At the same time, Snyder was working on a separate collection that intended to envision Snoopy visiting the most known cities in the world. That’s when he thought of it: the idea of Snoopy performing Maine-like, lumberjack-y actions plastered over pullover hoodies and crews.

And, just like that, Todd Snyder and L.L.Bean were working on their second collaboration together and their Peanuts Edition project was born.

The Peanuts Edition collection depicts Snoopy touring the entire state of Maine in actions such as chopping wood, hiking in the woods and even climbing Mt. Katahdin, Maine’s highest summit.

“Instead of sending Snoopy to the fashion capitals of the world, I was inspired by Leon Leonwood Bean’s passion for introducing city people to the outdoors. With L.L.Bean x Todd Snyder: Peanuts Edition, Snoopy falls for a different kind of beauty than Paris or Milan—namely, the Maine wilderness,” Snyder begins. “Once I had these images in my head of Snoopy and Woodstock with camping, chopping logs and hiking up Mount Katahdin, working L.L.Bean into the scenes became a joy. On one of the sweatshirts, Snoopy is wearing an actual vintage L.L.Bean Maine Guide Jacket.”

This collection is one you can’t miss out on, so you better get browsing before all these pieces are copped up. All crewnecks are going for $149 and hoodies for $179 directly on Todd Snyder’s website, so pick up yours now.
