Louis Vuitton x Nike Debuted a Collection of Shoes, and They’re Exactly What Luxury Sneakerhead Dreams Are Made of

The new Louis Vuitton x Nike collaboration is everything you’d imagine it to be and more. The collection, which was showcased during Louis Vuitton’s Paris Spring/Summer 2022 fashion show, revealed over 20 Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 hybrids, placing particular focus on the Air Force 1 low and mid-tops.

According to WWD, a total of 21 colorways and designs debuted during the show — all marked with the luxury brand’s Damier checkerboard patterns and LV signature monogram print.

The collection was captured via a short 16-minute film, titled “Amen Break” featuring GZA, Lupe Fiasco, Goldie and more. The narrative focuses on an “abstract interpretation” of a story surrounding Lupe Fiasco, whose father offers martial art classes to youth in the South Side of Chicago, according to a press release.

This new drop is the brainchild of LV’s artistic director of menswear and Off-White creator Virgil Abloh, whose touch can be easily identified by the word “Air” in quote marks written on the sole on some pairs and the French word “Lacet” on the laces of others. Abloh has notably created several highly coveted sneaker designs for the brand since being appointed in March 2018.

So far, there are no details on when the sneakers will be released. However, WWD notes that when asked if the shoes would be made available for sale, Vuitton responded, “Stay tuned for more details.”

With the popularity of the Dior X Jordan 1 sneaker release last summer, it’s safe to say that sneakerheads will be lined up for this one.
