These Pride Doc Martens are the Perfect Way to Celebrate the LGBTQ+ Community

It’s almost June which means it’s almost Pride Month here in the U.S and brands of all kinds are showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Some show their support via donations to worthy causes that uplift the marginalized and some make incredible merch you can don to visually reflect your advocacy. And some do both! Dr. Martens just released a pride-themed smooth leather oxford shoe, and it’s the perfect subtle touch of rainbow to celebrate with all month (and year) long.

Dr. Martens, the infamous British brand that’s evolved from a utilitarian boot to a symbol of self-expression and non-conformity, has made a pride shoe with a philanthropic donation to back it up. They’re paid tribute to the Pride movement with the rainbow flag embroidery and rainbow lace heel loop, and have partnered with the The Trevor Project again, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQIA+ young people. They’ve made a $100,000 donation and committed to a year-round partnership with the org to help share powerful, valuable resources with those in need.

These shoes are the second design off of DM’s production line, and have a classic 3-eye design that’s known for its versatility with outfits. You can dress these up or down and wear them appropriately on a variety of occasions.

The smooth leather can be worn polished to a shine or with scuffs and scrapes, and is easy to clean with Dr. Martens shoe polish.

The lines are Goodyear-welted and heat sealed, and reinforced with a welt stitch for extra durability.
