Breaking: Zappos is holding its first annual VIP sale, and the deals include some of our favorite footwear brands. The price drops go beyond footwear too, and you can find savings on some of our go-to clothing and accessory brands.
We’re in that weird time of year between summer and fall, and with the ongoing COVID-induced financial recession, a lot of retailers are trying to get rid of their summer inventory any way they can. That’s why we’ve seen so many great sales already this month, and why it’s the perfect time to get new shoes.
During the Zappos VIP sale, Zappos members will earn 10 points for every $1 spent (it’s usually one point per dollar). However, you don’t have to be a VIP member to get in on the sale. If you’re not a Zappos VIP member but you have Amazon Prime linked to your Zappos account, you luck out even better — you’ll rack up 11 points for each dollar instead. We know what you’re thinking, what the hell is this point system and why should I care?
The number of points you receive will add on to future discounts for purchases you make at Zappos. For every 100 points you receive, you’ll qualify for an extra buck off your next purchase. Meaning if you spend $100 using your VIP account with your Amazon Prime linked, you’ll save $11 on your next purchase from Zappos.
As we said, you don’t need to be a VIP member in order to get in on the discounts. Signing up to be a VIP member at Zappos is completely free though, so if you don’t mind giving up your email address, it might be worth it.
The Zappos VIP sale lasts from now until August 23, so you better get going and pick out some of your favorites before they sell out in your size. The sale covers popular men’s shoes from brands like Hoka One One, Converse, Adidas, Timberland, Nike and Steve Madden. Here are some of our favorite picks to get you started.
1. Hoka One One Rincon
When ranking the best running shoes for men, these kicks from Hoka One One were one of our top picks. While the Hoka One One Rincon’s typically go for around $130, you can get them right now at just under $100 on Zappos. Buying these solely will help you even save around $11 on your next purchase, too. These running sneakers are increasingly popular, stylish and overall mad comfy. They have a balanced cushion to ensure you’re working out in maximum comfort, and they’re very lightweight, so you won’t feel like your trudging along wearing weights on your feet.
2. Calvin Klein Underwear Cotton Stretch Trunk 3-Pack NU2665
Snag some Calvins while they’re cheap! This isn’t a drill! Normally this 3-pack goes for around $43, but right now you can get all three for just under $30. Every guy needs a pair of Calvins, we don’t make the rules, so if you don’t own a single pair yet, now’s your chance to get in on this otherwise splurge-worthy underwear brand.
3. Under Armour Sportstyle Jogger
A comfortable pair of joggers is all the modern man needs right now, so if you’re still wearing your slimy old sweats from your alma mater, slide ’em off and burrow into these soft-as-hell joggers from Under Armour. Normally you can find them on Zappos for around $60, but for a pair of Under Armour sweats? No thanks. They’ve been knocked down to forty smackaroonies right now, so grab them before they’re out of stock in your size.
4. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi – Tie-Dye
We love these hi-tops so much, we dedicated an entire story to them at the beginning of the month. When we wrote the story, the sneaks were $60, but now they’re going for just under $45. Considering tie-dye shirts, shoes and hoodies are easily the style trend of the summer, you can’t miss out on this deal before the season ends. Available in both pink and black tie-dye options, choose whichever fits your style more and rock these no matter the occasion.
5. The North Face Long Sleeve Arroyo Flannel Shirt
Though you might be wondering how a flannel long-sleeve made it in here during the midst of August, don’t be so surprised: flannel season is almost upon us and we’re so excited that we can almost taste it. You won’t be able to find a price drop like this anywhere either, because this North Face staple has gone from $75 to just under $50. Take advantage of the situation and get yourself this name brand before it goes back to being regularly priced!
