Read These Reviews Before You Buy Toothpaste Again

If you were looking to find out what the ideal morning and evening regimen for men was, you’d probably quickly discover that there is no ideal. But one thing we all have to do is brush our teeth.

Any given pharmacy aisle will have about two dozen different kinds of toothpaste, so choosing the right one can be difficult. Ultimately, just like everything else about our routines, there is no right or wrong. You have to find what works for you based on factors like whitening, sensitivity, and ingredients.

That said, there are a few things to know. Despite some anti-scientific rumblings about it, fluoride is an essential ingredient for protecting enamel. And while many people have sensitive teeth and may just suffer through it, there are plenty of readily available and highly-effective toothpaste brands that cater to those with sensitivity. These three options are backed by loyal followings, and perform different functions depending on your needs.

1. Sensodyne Pronamel Sensitive Toothpaste (Pack of 3)

Chances are, there are a lot of acidic foods in your diet. Food and drinks like fish, citrus, coffee, and broccoli may have health benefits, but they’re acidic and not very good for your teeth. If you have sensitive teeth, Sensodyne strengthens enamel and gently whitens teeth.

Pros: Protects enamel and helps fight off damaging effects of acidic foods.

Cons: Many people complained about poor cap design.

Activated charcoal is often treated as a panacea, and it’s not. That said, it can help remove surface stains from teeth for a whiter smile, which is great for those with serious coffee habits. Cali White’s charcoal toothpaste is free from SLS, which is good for those who may react negatively to sulfates.

Pros: Natural whitening ingredients.

Cons: No fluoride, which is essential to strengthening enamel.
