Green Water was developed by Fath, a French fashion designer seen as one of the most pivotal influencers on postwar haute couture. Fath was known as the “little prince of Paris Haute Couture in the 1950s” and dressed some of the biggest stars of the day, including Ava Gardner, Greta Garbo and Rita Hayworth. He later became a mentor and teacher to aspiring young designers like Hubert de Givenchy, Guy Laroche and Valentino Garavani.

Green Water launched in 1947 and was developed in collaboration with perfumer Vincent Roubert. The cologne features notes of fresh mandarin orange, carrot, lime, mint and basil that’s beautifully complemented with oak moss, jasmine, grey amber infusion and musk.

It’s a mythical fragrance that captures a one-of-a-kind scent that lingers without being too heavy or overwhelming. In 2016, Parfums Jacques Fath along with French perfumer Cécile Zarokian, relaunched Green Water with new note-worthy ingredients like neroli to revitalize and reawaken this captivating, couture-inspired scent.
