* Danish company Flensted makes mobiles for adults and children
* They’re inspired by work of Hans Christian Andersen
* All elements designed to be in constant motion
While we all must grow up, most of us find it hard to let go of that childhood simplicity and wonderment. Thankfully, with Danish designer Flensted’s new mobiles, there’s a way to capture that nostalgia.
First made in Denmark in 1954, Flensted is based on the Danish Isle of Funen, which is the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. Their current creations are inspired by the author’s fairy tales, and made in an old village school in Brenderup.
This design is made of light, high-quality cardboard, and is perfectly balanced so that all elements remain in motion. It’s created for both children and adults, not only as unique home decor, but as a source of calm and tranquility through its gentle motion. Each mobile arrives fully assembled, ready to place in your home, nursery, office or school. So maybe you don’t have to grow up just yet — Flensted’s here to keep your imagination in motion.
