Ikea just launched a new series of furniture collections that let you create a room from your favorite TV show in your own home.
The fun new series rounds up furniture from Ikea’s extensive catalogue to build a room inspired by three TV show living rooms: the Byers’ living room in Stranger Things, the roomies’ place in Friends, and the iconic Simpson’s living room. For each room, Ikea has a list of furniture, decor, paint and more that will make you feel like you’re in the show while you watch it in your living room.
We decided to go with the Simpson’s living room – read on to see the signature items needed to replicate the famous room. Also be sure to check out the other rooms here, but note that the Ikea series is currently only a promotion in the United Arab Emirates (hence the different currency). The same products are all available in the US as well, but you’ll have to cross search each product like we did for everything below.
1. BEHANDLA Glazing Paint, Blue
First things first: you’ll need a lively color on the walls. However, Ikea recommends a strong blue instead of the Simpsons’ dull pink.
2. Potted Wall Plant
Next, you’ll need a plant on the wall. You can get close to the real thing without spending much by pairing Ikea’s pop-y yellow pot and the artificial succulent below.

3. HOVSTA Birch frame
Above the Simpsons’ couch goes the famous (if completely meaningless) boat picture. Use this frame for a boat painting (or any alternative you choose), but be sure to leave it crooked every once in a while for authenticity.
4. LATTJO Braided Rug
This braided rug is almost identical to the one in Marge and Homer’s living room, only it has a slightly different, more modern colorway. It’s also made of durable fibers that features stain-resistance against those messy kids or pets.
5. Floor Lamp
