With flatscreen TVs being as light as they are, there are tons of display options that go beyond just putting the TV on a media stand. Mounting a flat-screen to the wall can be a sophisticated way to display the TV at home. Plus, utilizing wall space is a great way to clear up floor space. Keeping the TV mounted also reduces the risk of it being knocked over.

If you have a high ceiling, you can also consider a ceiling mount. Ceiling mounts are often used by businesses like bars and restaurant, but they can be used at home as well. A ceiling bracket can be handy in buildings where the walls might be made of an unforgiving material or where stud placement might be an issue.

Ceiling and wall mounts fall into that rare sweet spot of things that aren’t expensive but look it. They typically cost less than a media console, but they lend a sense of intentionality and elegance. These options are designed to be able to be assembled by one to two people, and there’s a range of bracket styles to suit different TVs. If you’re looking for a ceiling or wall mount, these are three well-reviewed options to consider.
