Smart Sneakers: Under Armour’s New Running Shoes Make Fitness Trackers Obsolete

* Under Armour just released a line of smart running shoes
* The sneakers connect to your phone for fitness-tracking data
* Track your distance, pace, steps, and muscle fatigue without carrying anything

Under Armour has just released a new line of smart running shoes that will (almost) replace your fitness tracker.

The new shoes feature a jump test (UA calls it the Jump Around) that connects to your phone, providing vital workout data like steps, distance, and pace. It also upgrades the regular fitness tracker by measuring your muscle fatigue levels, and recommending when to start running, and how hard you should run for an optimal workout.

This means you don’t have an excuse to slack off, and you won’t hurt yourself trying to burn off those doughnuts.
Below are 3 of our favorite styles from the new line, all available in men’s and women’s sizes.

1. Men’s Velociti RE

The Velociti shoe is designed for shorter, more intense runs with a lightweight feel and a bouncy cushion. The dark upper is made of a high-tech mesh, and the sole features a colorful design that gives the shoe a little bit of pop.

2. Women’s Gemini 3 RE

If you’re looking for a high-performing running shoe, we recommend the Gemini 3. The shoe features Under Armour’s award-winning SpeedForm fit that molds to your foot to eliminate clunkiness and distraction. It also has an internal heel counter for long-lasting support. The Gemini 3 also has a distinct, modern style that you don’t see often with running shoes.

3. Men’s Europa Record-Equipped Shoes

Under Armour’s Europa running shoe provides structured support that make them ideal for distance running. They’re crafted with a handful of elevated features such as charged cushioning, an external heel counter, and an embedded sockliner to create a comfortable running shoe that still allows you to feel the road, trail, or track.
