It looks like Amazon is gearing up for a huge Prime Day 2021 extravaganza in the upcoming weeks. Along with the reveal of the Prime Day dates of June 21 and 22, the mega-retailer also announced Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish, and H.E.R. will headline this year’s Prime Day concert. In previous years, the event has featured headliners such as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.
The three-part special event will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video for 30 days starting June 17 with or without a Prime subscription, per Deadline. This year, the event will focus on performance and storytelling through three different themes from each artist.
True to form, Kid Cudi’s performance will see him shoot to the moon where he teams up with the International Space Orchestra to share songs from his album, Man on the Moon III. The group, which is the world’s first orchestra of space scientists, will receive backing instrumentals from the International Space University.
Billie Eilish’s show, which is also being directed by the artist, will revolve around a Parisian neighborhood and will feature new music from the singer’s upcoming album, Happier Than Ever.
H.E.R. will celebrate Black culture with a scene set at a modern-day version of the Dunbar Hotel in Los Angeles. The spot once hosted the likes of legends such as Billie Holliday, Duke Ellington, and Lena Horne in the 1930’s and 1940’s era. H.E.R.’s showcase will feature new music from her album, Back Of My Mind. Amazon Music released a teaser for the concert on their official YouTube account.
Although the top Prime Day tech deals are not officially set to kick off until Monday, June 21, the Prime Day concert’s official playlist is available for Amazon Music and Prime members beginning June 3, 2021.
