One of the most hyped artists of the decade, Abél Tesfaye aka The Weeknd, is about to hit the road for his ‘Starboy: Legend of the Fall’ world tour at the start of 2017. With 39 shows in nine different countries scheduled so far, there will be a lot of opportunity to see Tesfaye sing ‘The Hills’ this year.
In celebration of his third album, ‘Starboy’, The Weeknd is set to start his tour in Stokholm on February 17. Tickets range from $50 to $150, but act fast because inexpensive seats are bound to sell quickly.
Bryson Tiller, the singer and rapper from Louisville, Kentucky, and Lil Uzi Vert, the rising hip hop star from Philadelphia, are both slated to open for The Weeknd at various cities.
The Weeknd first emerged on the scene in 2011 as an innocuous rapper from Canada. His debut mix tape ‘House of Balloons’ blew everyone’s minds with hits like ‘Glass Table Girls’ and ‘High for This’.
Over the last few years, The Weeknd has been riding a massive wave of success. Back in September, The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’ music video was nominated for a MTV European Music Award before its public release. Tesfaye has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the business — from Eminem, Lana del Ray, and Drake, who was one of his major supporters earlier in his career.
