Ready for warmer weather? We know we are. From poolside barbecues to COVID-safe park hangs to beachside shenanigans, we’re desperately craving a little bit of fun in the sun right now — especially after the hellish winter we’ve been having. Like, for real, how many times has it snowed? We can’t even count on two hands.

One thing that pairs well with warmer weather activities? Day drinking. A couple of White Claws or Bud Lites pair way too well with the sun, so we can’t wait to get a little tipsy with our friends outside this summer. Now, we’re even more excited than ever. Why? Well, Cutwater Spirits just changed the day drinking game with a solid new release: boozy ice pops.

Yeah, you read that right. Boozy ice pops. We can feel your palms sweating.

These kid-like freezies will bring you back in time to sweltering hot summer days with your pals from grade school. But don’t get it twisted, these pops are for adults only considering each pop contains 7% alcohol.

Currently, there are two flavor packs available: the Frozen Cocktail Spirit Pop pack and the Frozen Margarita Spirit Pops. The cocktail pack takes a frozen approach to Cutwater’s iconic canned cocktails, featuring an icy version of their Tequila Margarita, Vodka Mule, Gin Melon and Rum & Cola cocktails. The marg pops, on the other hand, feature flavors like Mango Margarita, Pineapple Margarita, Lime Margarita and Strawberry Margarita.

Our e-commerce editor Tyler recently got the margarita pop box shipped to his apartment to test them out for himself. He waited until it hit around 50-degrees and partly cloudy in NYC and took a little walk with his friend Kerianne around the block, pretending it was 90-degrees and sunny instead. “I walked around like they were regular ice pops,” he mentions, “not a single person looked twice. I’m sure nobody knew we were actually on a little tequila walk.”

These inconspicuously boozy ice pops are ready to take on whatever you’ve got going on this summer. Beach days? Road trips? Hikes? Poolside convos? Park hangs? Hell, a baby shower? Pack ’em in your best cooler and get sipping. Or, eating. Kind of.

All pops ship in liquid form, so just throw them in the freezer for a few hours until they’re frozen completely to enjoy. You can purchase them right now from Drizly or Total Wine for under $30 to try out before it warms up outside. Trust us on this one.
