Celebrate Star Wars Day with Kitchenware from Pryex and Corelle

For many, Star Wars isn’t just a movie — it is a lifestyle. Regardless of whether you’re a child or a child at heart, there’s a reason the story George Lucas brought to screens in 1977 continues to resonate all these years later: the characters, the story, the iconic visuals have delighted and amazed audiences time and time and time again. It’s fitting then, a series this legendary would be worthy of its own day of celebration.

For those unaware, May 4 — as in “may the force be with you” — is Star Wars Day and typically sees all kinds of fanfare. And, as many know, Star Wars is a brand that’s ripe for inclusion on any number of items from LEGO sets to videogames to our favorite Baby Yoda merchandise. However, if you’re looking for a more adult way to show off your love of the series, Corelle and Pyrex have you covered.

Launching today, in celebration of Star Wars Day, is a brand new collection that includes Corelle dinner plates and Pyrex containers complete with Star Wars branding. The Corelle set includes four snack plates and four dinner plates emblazoned with illustrations from some of the best moments of the original trilogy of movies including a showdown between Luke and Darth Vader, a knowing exchange between Han Solo and Princess Leia, a helpful note from Yoda, and more. The drawings add just the ideal amount of personality to an otherwise simple item like plates but are never too over the top in their execution.

Meanwhile, the Pryex collaboration offers a more playful incorporation of elements from the franchise: secure your bounty of cookies in a bounty hunter-branded container that includes Boba Fett and Jabba the Hutt, a Yoda and lightsaber themed container, and the droids you’re looking for (including BB-8 and R2-D2). Larger containers include Darth Vader and his army of Tie-Fighters. Also available will be a snack-size container featuring the Child, aka, Baby Yoda. While that one won’t be out until May 11, you can still go ahead and think about how cute it will be in your space.

Regardless of whether you’re a Sith or Jedi, Bounty Hunter or Rebel, there’s something in this collaboration to appease every Star Wars fan, giving them a chance to celebrate the joys of this series all year-round instead of just one day.
