We all know having a new baby is stressful. While there is not much you can do to relieve the stress when you become a new parent, thanks to the wonders of technology, MIT-trained parents, and some comic relief you can help reduce some of the stress that comes hand in hand with newborns.
Below are a few goodies we have found that are meant to make raising a newborn slightly easier and will help to keep them happy and quiet (…at least for a little bit) all the while keeping you sane. If all else fails, a glass of wine just may do the trick.
1. Baby Food Dispensing Spoon
Boon’s Baby Food Dispensing Spoon takes baby food, removes the jar and packs it into a single utensil that you just have to squeeze. This spoon will allow you to keep one hand free while it dispenses baby food one bite at a time. Great for on the go, traveling or anywhere else you may be where you cannot be bothered to whip out a jar of food, hold your baby and feed him or her all at the same time.

2. Pacifier Thermometer
Anyone who has a baby knows that trying to give medicine and take temperatures can be a nightmare, especially since babies usually won’t sit still long enough for one to register properly. The Safety 1st Comfort Check Pacifier and Thermometer is here to the rescue. Basically, it is a pacifier that will take an accurate reading of baby’s temperature while in use in as little as 90 seconds. Also included is a medicine dispenser which is designed to ensure your baby gets all of their medicine serving while they are sucking happily and calmly on the pacifier. Genius.

3. Airline Laundry Bag

5. A Woombie Swaddle
Swaddling your baby is a very individual choice and one swaddle does not fit all. That being said, the
is one of the easiest swaddles to maneuver and doesn’t require multiple folding and tucking. Simply place your baby in the swaddle and zip it up. A convenient 2-way zipper allows for easy swaddling and easy diaper changes, is breathable and allows your baby’s hips to move freely.6. Baby Shusher
The
is a popular product that’s been doctor-tested to safely stop your baby from crying. By using loud, rhythmic shushing noises, the Baby Shusher draws on ancient, time-tested techniques designed to break a baby’s cry spell and engage their natural calming reflex. The Shusher is small and compact enough to use anywhere, and it comes with two easy timer options which allow you to control how long you may need to quiet down your baby.7. Bottle Warmer
The
allows you to safely and quickly warm breast milk, formula and food. It works by creating a warm water bath to quickly and gently thaw and warm milk in accordance with CDC and USDA guidelines. This warmer uses low-temperature warming, is super fast and has an automatic shutoff for all those 3 am feedings. As a side note, this warmer was invented by an MIT trained engineer fathers, so they could help feed the baby in the night while their wives rested, which might also explain the smart, innovative design.8.
