* Kensington Palace officially announces engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
* Happy couple posed for photocall in London today
* Markle wore a white coat with bow-tie waist from Line the Label, a Toronto-based brand
It’s official: Prince Harry is off the market! Kensington Palace made the announcement early this morning, that Harry is engaged to Suits actress Meghan Markle, confirming what many had speculated since this summer.
The couple met in 2016, and news of their relationship broke in October of 2016. Since then, the two have maintained a long distance relationship, jetting between London, where Harry is based, and Toronto, where Markle films her hit series, Suits. When Markle recently announced that she was leaving the show, it set off royal watchers everywhere, who wondered if a permanent move to the UK — and an engagement — was in the cards.
According to Kensington Palace, the wedding will take place in Spring 2018. The official announcement also says that “His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle became engaged in London earlier this month. Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle’s parents.” The couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.

The bride-to-be posed with Harry for an official photocall today, wearing a white coat with bow-tie waist from Canadian brand, Line the Label. She wore the coat over a dark green Lachi dress by p.a.r.o.s.h., an Italian label, and topped it off with 18 kt rose gold earrings from Birks.
As for her engagement ring? The stunning dazzler was designed by Harry and features diamonds that belonged to Princess Diana, along with diamonds from Botswana, a country that is close to the couple’s heart, having recently celebrated Markle’s 36th birthday there.
But getting back to THAT COAT. Line the Label’s website crashed almost immediately after the photos of Markle wearing the coat came out. The piece retails for $799 but we found five options to get the incoming princess’ look, without breaking the bank.
1. A New Day Women’s Wool Shawl Collar Wrap Coat
From Target’s in-house brand, A New Day, this wool winter coat keeps a classic look with a shawl collar and tied fabric belt. Turn the oversized collar up for warmth. A great layering piece that deserves a spot in your wardrobe this season. Multiple sizes available.

2. Hego Women’s Turn-Down Collar White Long Wool Coat
Get the look with this wool-blend coat in Markle’s shade of winter white. We like the slim silhouette that this long coat creates, while the colorblock details at the hem help to set it apart from other jackets out there.

3. ASOS PETITE Coat with Self Belt and Oversized Collar
A shorter version designed for petite women, this coat features a cozy wool-blend material and a flattering flare design. Get a longer, belted version in white for $135 here.

4. Express Premium Wool Blend Belted Peacoat
We love the soft ivory color of this wool-blend peacoat. Features chic buttons and a removable sash waist. Leave it buttoned up and tied for a more formal look, or wear it unbuttoned with your hands in the pockets for a sophisticated yet casual take on winter outerwear.

5. Kenneth Cole Wool Blend Maxi Wrap Coat
This classic wrap coat in a longer length is detailed with an elegant collar that you can flip up and button up on colder days or wear open for a face-flattering cape style. The pale gray color is a chic alternative to winter white.
