Ahhh the 2000s — a decade of frivolous fun, memorable pop culture moments and crazy fashion trends that have somehow outlasted the celebrities of the day.
From hairdos to denim trends, we take a look back at what we all wanted to wear back in the 2000s — and what we’re still wearing today.

Beyonce has been a style icon since the 2000s, thanks to her coordinating outfits with Destiny’s Child.
(Unfortunately, #PoorMichelle didn’t get to wear a crop top).
Here, she demonstrated the power of the crop top, which can make an entire outfit and is now making a comeback once again.

And while their careers may have slowed down a bit, the choker style is alive and well in fashion.

Denim on denim was huge in the 2000s, and now it’s back.
JT and Britney’s 2001 AMA red carpet look overshadows some of the other great all-denim looks from the 00s, as big names like Jay-Z and Beyonce could be seen rocking denim-on-denim(on-denim).
Now the look is back, but it’s been freshened up for 2018 with modern lines and, well, less denim.

Lightly tinted sunglasses might not provide great eye protection, but they definitely provide some serious style. In the 00s they were a celeb staple, with everyone from Eve to Bono rocking the statement-making glasses.
Now they’re back, but in 2018 they’re almost exclusively aviator shaped and candy colored.

Now the hybrid hat is making a comeback, and not just in women’s fashion. Some dapper men such as David Beckham have donned newsboy caps in recent years, bringing the hat to a new level of style.

With the enduring athleisure mega-trend of the past couple years, tracksuits made famous in the 00s were an inevitable comeback.
But the tracksuits of 2018, seen on runways and celebs from Bella Hadid to Scott Disick, showcase a more tailored fit than the slouchy Juicy Couture tracksuits favorited by Britney and Paris Hilton in the 00s. We’ve also seen the tracksuit tops and bottoms separated and paired with jeans, tees, and jackets to create magazine-ready lazy sunday outfits.
